Since its humble beginning, Ethiopian Outreach Ministry has been all about the Lord's command in Matt. 28:19&20. It states, "...Go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
A recent letter received from an Ethiopian who is a new believer in
East Africa reminded "Dear brother Melese, My name is Tsion H. I am writing from Asmara. I am a regular listener of your daily radio program and a frequent visitor of your web-site. I found your radio broadcast while I was browsing through various signals on my short-wave radio. To me, your radio program is a unique gift from God. I am a new born Christian and I desperately needed teachings of the pure word of God. |
"
But Be Careful...
It may be a life changing experience." By Ms. Lois Anderson In August, 2001, as I was about to leave the Philadelphia area to return to my childhood environment of York, PA., I was asked at a Bible class what ministry I planned to have when I moved to York. Immediately, I replied that I was familiar, to a small degree, with the Ethiopian Outreach Ministry whose headquarters is in York, as I had known the Founder/Director, the Rev. Melese Wogu, when I was in Ethiopia. I planned to volunteer time; perhaps stuff envelopes, stamp letters, etc. I had never seen the offices of the organization, but after
"Our American way of spending for trivia can be altered, and the money saved can be used to the glory of God in reaching others with the Gospel." of York on the second story of a building on Duke Street across from the Yorktowne Hotel. I was astounded by what I saw that day - three Ethiopian nationals: Melese Wogu the Founder and Executive Director of the Ministry, Misiker Kebede, Director of Technical and Development Support, and Sossena Maybury, the Secretary - servants of the Lord, dedicated to the ministry of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with fellow Ethiopians; those living outside of their homeland as well as in Ethiopia. |

| How about considering these
as a project?
|
When you send your gifts to one or more of the projects listed here, please designate your gifts accordingly on the 'Memo' or 'Used for' line of your check or money order. We are grateful to the thirteen friends of EOM who gave towards the
purchase of a brand new automatic paper folding machine. It has been
a couple of years since the need for this Recently, a dear friend of the ministry, Ms. Lois R. Anderson of York , PA wanted to make this project a reality. With God's help, her relatives and close friends that she approached contributed the balance of the money needed to acquire the machine. To all of you who gave so sacrificially, we say THANK YOU and pray that the Lord's blessings be upon you as you bless His work. Your gifts will enable us to be more effective in the production of large volume of Christian publication that is being used among Ethiopians throughout the world

Dear
Producers of Voice of Morning Star Radio,
You don't know how much joy it gives me to write this letter to you. Please do not underestimate the impact of your ministry. I want to emphasize the importance of your daily radio program. I myself was introduced to Christ and accepted Him as my personal savior and Lord through another radio program. It is my prayer that your ministry continues to grow and be strengthened. The uniqueness of your ministry can be described in many of its distinct teaching solely based on the Bible. Your messages from the Scriptures speak to all Ethiopians. Your ministry does not discriminate between people's groups or languages. Thank you for the encouraging and uplifting messages aired daily over the radio waves. I thank God that I am being served through your radio ministry in this place where there is a strong spiritual opposition. Your program is like cold water to a thirsty soul. We used to be able to get spiritual material from Ethiopia before war broke between the two countries. Now there is no direct mail so we can't get anything. If it is possible, please send us books, tapes and Bible study materials that will help is walk closer with Jesus. May God's grace and peace be with you. Tewodros Y. (Assab, Eritrea)
Grace be to you all. I am writing this just to let you know how much I appreciate your radio ministry and what it means to me. The signal of your program's transmission is so clear it sounds like the transmitter is right in Ethiopia. Through your daily teachings, the Lord already started to mold me, correct me and guide me how to be free from my bondage of sin. Thank you for delivering the message of the Bible in a very practical and life applicable way. God bless you and provide you with all the resources you need to continue serving Ethiopians everywhere. Sincerely, Eden M. (Ethiopia)
Recently, you presented a message on your daily broadcast titled, "Give us our daily bread." Now I have a better and deeper understanding of the Lord's Prayer. It helps me how to pray effectively. I look forward to hearing the series messages on the Lord's Prayer in the coming days. Thank you for ministering to us. You are a great help to our spiritual growth. Thank you and God bless. Tigist S. (Beirut, Lebanon)
