rayer and action go together in the Christian faith. God has commanded us to proclaim the gospel to every nation and tongue. We pray for His guidance as we live to do His will, and He directs us. We all are "full-time" missionaries yet we pray specifically for those who are at the front lines of 'full-time' missions work. In a previous issue of News & Views Brother Melese wrote, " I strongly believe that God has a comprehensive and complete plan for every one of us. The Lord said, " For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jer. 29:11). Paul also makes this clear in Ephesians 2:10: "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before hand that we should walk in them." God did not create us to merely exist, but to live very significant and fruitful lives. No matter how difficult our lives are today, we have hope for a better future. We need to remind ourselves daily that we are in the process of sowing and reaping. Whatever we sow today, we reap tomorrow. We either invest our lives for a good cause or waste them. Our choices have tremendous eternal consequences. Wrong choices bring eternal loss. On the other hand, what is invested for Him and His Kingdom yield significant gain. Since we are all important to God, none of us are left out of His larger plan. Paul affirms this in 1 Cor. 3:1-9 "...Some servants plow, some sow, some water, and some reap; but God gives the increase. Brother Melese wrote this when he shared the importance of intercessory prayer. We all need to be prayer partners with EOM and other Christian ministries that are doing the front line work of evangelism.
If more Bible study groups were to commit themselves to the support of one, two or three Ethiopians to go to Bible college in Ethiopia or in Kenya. more people could be reached. The problem of not getting new believers into a proper discipleship program would be reduced. That means there would be less loss of souls. May the Lord stir your heart to get together with the brothers and sisters in your Bible study or prayer group and support local evangelists and pastors, equipping them to effectively reach the unreached and strengthen believers. |

Brother Wogu's newest book entitled "GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - IDENTIFICATION AND PROPER APPLICATION" is in high demand, especially in Ethiopia. Your support is crucial in making this book available to the thousands of Ethiopians waiting for it. "GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT..." attempts to answer the questions of the many Ethiopian believers who have been confused by teachings based on experience rather than Scripture. Since we announced the publication of this book, many have responded with great excitement, because it will help the church to refocus on the basics of Christianity by rooting believers in the Word of God. We encourage you to get involved in this worthwhile project individually or through your church missions committees, Sunday School classes, or growth groups. Give a lasting gift this Christmas to your Ethiopian brothers and sisters. Let us come together and make a difference. Share with your friends and churches about this project. For more information on this project. please contact us by regular mail, phone, fax or e-mail. The large volume of Bible study notes, booklets and tracts
at EOM demands reliable, efficient and durable machines like a folder.
Currently we have the NEED for a paper folding machine. A few partners
gave a total of $1000 towards the purchase of this machine. This
is one third of the amount needed to acquire the machine we selected.
When you consider this project in your year-end giving, remember the difference
you can make in the process of producing life changing gospel messages
that are circulated world-wide. |
As our work grows in all
aspects, the need for computers that can handle our expansion is something
we cannot avoid. Right now, we need to replace one of our computers
and upgrade the other. If you have an extra computer with minimum
specifications listed below that you can give away, or if you can contribute
towards the purchase of a new one, we would greatly appreciate it.
The estimated cost of a new computer with the specifications we need
is $1350.

Dear
servants of the Lord at Ethiopian Outreach Ministry,
Peace be to you all. I am writing this to tell you how much I have benefited from the bi-monthly Bible study "Yehiwot Mestawot." The various issues have helped me to understand the character of God, His love and purpose for me and for all mankind. Through these Bible studies, I have been challenged in many ways to get closer to the Lord and I am forever grateful for your practical teaching and encouragement. Keep up the good work brothers and sisters. What you sow with tears among Ethiopians everywhere sprouts and grows in God's time. Keep sowing. Your Sister in Christ from California I wanted to tell you that the service you give through the obedience to God and His word to provide us with the wonderful teachings of the scriptures has been a blessing to many, including myself. Your teachings are constant encouragements to me. God speaks to my heart through the teaching I receive. I am a living example among many that God is with you. Keep up the good work trusting Him for all your needs. Please accept the check enclosed as my gift to the Lord's work. from New York
I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am writing this letter from prison in Western Ethiopia where I am a prisoner for a few years now. Thanks to the International Committee of the Red Cross that facilitated this letter getting to you. I wanted you to know that the tapes and Bible study notes you produce are my number one source of spiritual nourishment. We cannot have enough of your tapes. Truly they are anointed by God. You are like a water pipeline to us through which the Word of God comes to us in most relevant ways. Thank God this prison has turned into a Seminary college for me because of the resources produced at EOM and having much time to study. Thank you. from Western Ethiopia
